About Cheryl Alexander

Cheryl Alexander, midlife career coach for women 40+

Hi, I’m Cheryl. I help women in mid-career and beyond stop second-guessing their next move and build careers that actually fit – without burning it all down.

I work with smart, accomplished women who feel stuck, burned out, or like they’ve quietly outgrown the career that once worked. On paper, everything looks fine – but inside, they’re wondering: Is this really what I want to be doing? I help them stop spinning in self-doubt and start designing careers (and lives) that reflect who they are now – not who they had to be.

With 20+ years in HR leadership and coaching, I’ve guided hundreds of professionals and global organizations through big transitions. I’ve coached executives, led international teams, and built programs that helped thousands grow their careers. I have a BS in Business Administration and I’m a Martha Beck–trained life coach.

And I know the feeling of being trapped by a version of success you’ve outgrown.

One of my biggest turning points? Saying no to a promotion I’d worked years to earn. Instead, I left, sold everything I owned, and road-tripped solo for a year across North America to reconnect with myself. I’ve raised a family, gone back to school, and reinvented my career more than once. Now, I help other women trust their instincts, reclaim their energy, and redefine success on their own terms.

In my work, I blend mindset coaching, intuitive strategy, and neuroscience-based tools to shift not just your career – but your clarity, energy, and confidence. Whether you want to redesign your current role, explore a new direction, or finally go after that next chapter, I’ll help you do it with purpose, courage, and a whole lot of self-compassion.

What have I learned from reinventing my life more than once?

The path isn’t always clear, but it’s always yours to choose.  Following it leads you back to yourself.

I live just outside Seattle and start most mornings  with a journal in one hand and strong coffee in the other.

Things that light me up:

  • Trail hikes, live music, sailing, and stormy beaches
  • Being a proud mom of two wonderful daughters and grandmother of four wild-hearted littles
  • Hosting full moon soup parties for friends
  • Following my curiosity like a compass; across oceans or just across town
  • Deep conversations, creative rituals, and anything that helps us feel more human

I bring all of that and my intuition, strategy, irreverent humor, and truth-telling energy, into the coaching space.

If you’re tired of playing small or pretending it’s “fine,” I’m here to help you redesign your work, your path, and your power, on your terms.
